March Madness has begun! It’s the first week of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournamnet, which is spread across 4 television stations to ensure you have a chance to catch every game played. While some have the privilege of being able to watch every game, others aren’t as lucky. Fortunately we live in a constantly moving and mobile world, and with today’s technology, you don’t have to be sitting in front of a TV to still be in the middle of the action. Just like last year, we’ve put together a quick list of the top apps for your iOS devices that will keep you on top of the action for the next few weeks.
What’s your favorite app? Have we left an app out you feel deserves to be mentioned? Leave your thoughts and comments below.
ESPN Bracket Bound 2012
This app is mostly to compliment ESPN’s Tournament Challenge, but can also be used for scores, news, follow your favorite team, and check out a Twitter feed featuring ESPN commentators and staff. {Link}

NCAA March Madness Live
The NCAA March Madness Live app is free, but for just $3.99 you have access to watch all 67 games live from your iOS device, along with live box scores, game highlights and alerts for any close games or possible upsets. {Link}

PocketBracket: Men’s College Basketball
This app isn’t associated with any particular website or bracket challenge. Pocket Bracket is a March Madness dedicated bracket application, allowing you to create brackets you can share and brag about on the PocketBracket network, join or create pools, and be able to share and brag about your brackets success on Twitter and Facebook. {Link}

Sporting News NCAA Basketball
This free app (free is always good) comes from Sporting News, and offers you several features allowing you to catch up on all the latest in NCAA basketball news. Customize with your favorite teams, setup alerts and push notifications. While unlike the other apps on this list, Sporting News has nothing to do with actual brackets, but is all about NCAA basketball news and information. This app is worth keeping around all year long, just not during the tournament. {Link}

Yahoo! Tourney ‘12
If you’re participating in a pool over on Yahoo then this app is for you. Have access to your league, and be able to view leaderboards, other member’s brackets, and how your own bracket is looking. {Link}
