Apple TV+ has released a new poster for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, highlighting the human characters with Godzilla’s presence looming in the background.
Set to premiere on Apple TV+ on November 17, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is set in the universe of Legendary’s MonsterVerse.
The poster features father and son Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell (who play the same character across two different timelines) along with Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Mari Yamamoto, Ren Watabe, and Anders Holm. Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski also star.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is set after the events of 2014’s Godzilla, as San Francisco struggles to rebuild in the wake of Godzilla’s epic battle against the MUTOs. According to the synopsis from TV Guide, the story “will focus on Cate, who survives the San Francisco showdown and travels to Japan to find her missing father. It is there she learns of a shocking betrayal, and Cate must team up with her half-brother and an American hacker to discover her family’s ties with the mysterious organization known as Monarch.“
